Georgia Warr is the narrator and one of the main characters in Loveless. She is best friends with Jason Farley-Shaw and Pip Quintana. She is roommate friends with Rooney Bach. She is Ellis Warr's cousin.
Personality[]
Georgia is rather introverted. Even though she dreams of having her own epic romance, like the fanfictions she reads, she feels uncomfortable in romantic situations. Throughout the novel she discovers that she's aromantic asexual, or aroace for short. However, a lot of her personality is shown throughout the book prior to her aroace awakening. She loves theatre and acting, she also loves reading fanfiction and is an absolute fan of romance in movies. Even though she likes looking at romance, she doesn't experience attraction and that’s okay. She eventually finds out that platonic love is just as strong, if not stronger than romantic love.

Pip has been Georgia’s best friend since they were 11 years old, and they go tot the same University. Georgia is very happy to have her best friend with her when she moves to University. Through the novel Pip and Georgia have a period where they don’t talk after a miscommunication. In this time Georgia realizes how much she loves her best friend. Georgia decides to do a dramatic performance of “our song” and ask Pip to be her college wife. Pip and Georgia are really good friends, this friendship is more important than any other romantic relationship Georgia could ever have
Jason is Georgia’s other best friend. they haven’t known each other as long as Pip and Georgia, but still they are good friends. Jason also goes to the same University, and Georgia is happy Jason is still close to her in university. Georgia feels really comfortable with Jason and loves spending time talking to him. He is extremely authentic and the two work well together as a pair. Jason is in love with Georgia and Georgia desperately tries to fall in love by dating Jason for a while. Georgia continues hoping she can develop feelings for him and really hurts Jason in the process. However, they make up and realize they are much better as friends and continue to have a very wholesome bond.
Rooney is Georgia’s friend and roommate at University. Georgia is scared of having a roommate at first but she and Rooney quickly become good friends, and bond over Shakespeare. Their friendship grows as they both learn more about each other’s lives. They are near opposites, so they have their differences, but still manage to make a great pair. They have deep late-night talks, watch youtube and tiktok together until they fall asleep and even combined their beds together. Georgia and Rooney develop an irreplaceable sister-like bond and will stay close friends for the rest of their lives.
Sunil is Georgia’s college parent, they teach her about al the things about college and also college marriage. Sunil is also the first asexual person Georgia knows. He tells her about asexuality and also aromanticism after Georgia asks about one of his pins. Sunil plays a very important part in Georgia’s self discovery, and he tells Georgia that she’s going to be okay. Even though he is a few years older, he is a good friend to Georgia and accepts her no matter what.
Jess is Sunil’s best friend. Georgia has only talked to her a few times, but during those times she was very kind. Jess helps out with the big college proposal Georgia planned for Pip. While they are rehearsing for this, Georgia and Jess bond over their shared love for patterned woolly jumpers.
Ellis is Georgia’s cousin. When Georgia goes home for thanksgiving Ellis is there too. Georgia over hears Ellis parents talking to her about not being married yet, Ellis is in her thirties but isn’t married and isn’t looking to get married anytime soon. After the conversation Ellis gets in her car and Georgia follows her. They have a talk about both of them being incapable of falling in love. Ellis says she has tried, even just having sex just to fit in but there is never any attraction. They go to McDonalds together and Georgia introduces Ellis to the word aromantic asexual. They talk about their experiences and bond over being aroace. After talking to Ellis, Georgia truly realizes that she's not alone and starts to feel less hopeless about her sexuality.
Tommy
Tommy is a boy who used to be in the same school as Georgia before she went to University. Georgia thought she had a crush on him for seven years. Finally at prom, her last opportunity to be with him, she talked herself into kissing Tommy. Once she got the opportunity, she just couldn’t. It all felt wrong and she got extremely uncomfortable.
