Sahar Zahid, portrayed by Leila Khan, is a supporting character in Heartstopper. She is best friends with Elle Argent, Aled Last, Tara Jones, Nick Nelson, Darcy Olsson, Charlie Spring, and Tao Xu. She used to be a student at the Harvey Greene Grammar School before transferring to the Truham Grammar School.
Appearance
Sahar is of Arabian descent and short stature, standing at about 5'0" (the same height as Tara). She has dark eyes, brown hair, and a plump figure. Most of her attire includes oversized hoodies and shirts, and her hair is often in ponytails or messy buns. At school, her hair is often placed in a nice bow.
Personality
To Alice Oseman, Sahar loves escaping into fictional worlds and dreams of leaving the small town of Truham to pursue an adventure. Her favorite thing to do at school is band practice.
Out of the main eight members of the Paris Squad, Sahar is the least explored member; she's overall kind, calm, incredibly smart, and reasonable. When she, Nick, Omar, Christian, and Sai work on projects related to their future after graduation, Nick was astonished by how detailed Sahar's project was. Sahar is also practical, arguing with the boys that the concept of virginity is "bullshit" when their classmate brags about losing their virginity.
Trivia
- Her likes include dark academia, history, and guitars.
